Nonlinear Dynamics of Nanoscopic Systems: Scaling, Stochasticity, and Quantum Mechanics
The goal of this symposium is to work out the fundamental
changes that occur when dynamical systems are scaled down to
nanosize. The focus will be especially on the
effects on the nonlinear dynamical behaviour of (1) scaling,
(2) stochasticity and (3) quantum mechanics. In contrast to many
other conferences on nanosystems, the goal is to elaborate new
guiding principles and nonlinear dynamics scenarios, which are
valid for quite different types of nanoscopic systems.
