Location & Accommodation

Location:

• Ehrenfriedersdorf is a nice town in the beautiful Erzgebirge. It is close to Chemnitz (Saxony, Germany).
  
• The symposium takes place in the Hotel "Nussknacker" (see below).

Travel information:

• By Car: (Route plans in German)
  From Chemnitz: Follow the route B95 to the south (direction Annaberg-Buchholz) until you reach Ehrenfriedersdorf. Just after the end of the town (sign-posted) there is a large junction. Turn right (twice); you will see the hotel already.

  From the south: take the B95 in the direction Chemnitz. There is a large junction just before Ehrenfriedersdorf. Turn left; you will see the hotel already.

• By Public transport:
  
  • Take the train to Chemnitz (Timetable of Deutsche Bahn).

  • From Chemnitz train station there will be a limited amount of seats to go by car with participants from Chemnitz. Please ask the organisers if you would like to get a lift.

  • Alternatively walk 5 min from the train station to the bus station. Take the bus T210 (direction Annaberg-Buchholz) to the station Neumarkt in Ehrenfriedersdorf.

    Then you may walk to the end of the town (same direction as the bus). Just after the end of the town (sign-posted) there is a large junction. Turn right (twice); you will see the hotel already.

    Alternatively the hotel tries to arrange a lift from the Neumarkt bus station. Just tell us in advance.

• For the symposium 40 rooms are reserved from Sunday to Wednesday. Departure on Thursday or arrival on Monday morning is also possible.
  Prices for full-board accommodation are:
  Single room 63 Euro/day, Double bed room 52 Euro/day/person.

• Please book your accommodation until August 22, 2003. Afterwards availability of the rooms and the price cannot be guaranteed.

• Payment is possible by EC card or credit card.
  Vegetarian diet is available.
  A sauna can be used free of charge.
