Catchword / Keyword
Do you know the difference between catchword and keyword? These terms are often used synonymously in everyday life. Strictly speaking, however, there are differences:

| Meaningful word from the title of a publication or an abstract for publication | Term describing as briefly as possible the factual content of the publication. |
| Does not have to match the content of the document | Does not have to appear in title or abstract |
| Databases: catchword searches in the text fields; e.g. Title, Abstract field | Databases: Keyword (or descriptor, keyword or subject term) has its own search field. |
