How can you ensure that you are working with search terms that are also used in the database to describe the content?

Thesauri help here. In the tutorial Example of a Topic Analysis (unit 2) we have already got to know a thesaurus as a search tool. But what exactly is a thesaurus?

A thesaurus is a systematic collection of terms. All keywords allowed in a thesaurus are called descriptors . Thesauri are available in different languages depending on the database.

Tip: If you perform your search with descriptors from the thesaurus used in the database, this leads to precise sets of hits!
