Die Seminare am Freitag sind in erster Linie als Diskussionsforum gedacht, um die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Gruppen aus Chemnitz, Jena und Dresden zu fördern, es werden aber auch spezifische Vorträge auf diese Termine gelegt. Zusätzlich werden einige der Kolloquiumstermine in Chemnitz, Jena, Dresden, Köln und Heidelberg dazu genutzt, ausgewählte Gäste einzuladen.
