Biographical Note:
Sina Nitzsche studied English and American Studies and Business Administration at Chemnitz University of Technology, and Cultural Studies at Trent University, Canada. During her studies she gained practical experience at the Goethe Institut Bangkok, Thailand, at the Austrian Embassy, Bangkok, as well as at the DAAD New York, USA.
A long-standing assistant for the Chair of American Studies at Chemnitz, Ms. Nitzsche has held numerous tutorials, co-organized the Fulbright Summer Lecture Series and coordinated the international conference HipHop meets Academia. Her dissertation project is entitled: "Framing Uptown: Perceptions of the Bronx". During the winter term 2006/07 she will work as Lecturer for the Chair of English Literatures at Chemnitz.
Her academic interests include Cultural Studies, Film Studies and Urban Studies.
