Details of Scholarships

I) Foreign participants with a full scholarship (notified till 15 June):

Sponsert by the DAAD via resources of the German Federal Foreign Office we are able to reimburse foreign participants with a full scholarship to a high degree.

In any case, they don´t have to pay for the tuition, the meals, accomodation, and cultural programme.

There will also be a reimbursement of the travel costs, but the resources are limited and the exact amount for each foreign participant hence is dependent on the sum of all individual travel costs of all the foreign participants, as well as further third-party sponsoring. We try to get as much third-party resources as possible, but an equity contribution can not be excluded in advance. The exact amount of refunding will not be apparent until the summer academy has started. The level for each participant will orient on an official list of the DAAD concerning travel reimbursements ( DAAD-regulation ).

II) Foreign participants without a scholarship, German participants (not from Chemnitz):

Both groups can attend on their own resources (or resources of their employee) if they get accepted.

They may be awarded partial scholarship. Partial scholarship dependents exclusively on third-party sponsorship and on personal merit and need. We try to get as much third-party resources as possible, but an equity contribution can not be excluded in advance and is highly probable. Partial Scholarship may cover part of the tuition, meals, accommodation, and cultural programme, and may also cover partly the travel costs. The participants have to apply at the beginning or during the summer academy. The exact amount of refunding will not be apparent until the end of the summer academy.There is no legitimate claim for a partial scholarship

III) Students from Chemnitz:

They can attend on their own resources (or resources of their employee) if they get accepted.

They may be awarded partial scholarship, covering the tuition and the cultural programme only. Partial scholarship dependents exclusively on third-party sponsorship and on personal merit and need. Costs for meals, accommodation and traveling will not arise and can not be awarded. The participants have to apply at the beginning or during the summer academy. The exact amount of refunding will not be apparent until the end of the summer academy. There is no legitimate claim for a partial scholarship
