Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae

I graduated with an MA in English Studies (TEFL and Linguistics) from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München following my BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from Ege University Turkey. I am both CELTA and DELTA qualified and bring over 17 years of experience working as an EAP & ESL instructor, exam writer, materials and course designer, a CELTA trainer and Academic Manager at tertiary level. Years I spent in teaching, developing course content, coordination and training all fed into my research skills and interests allowing me to reflect on the both sides of the coin with a teacher-scholar eye.

My research interests lie in the fields of Second Language Acquisition, Corpus Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Processing and Processability, Educational Technology, Teacher Training.

I am currently working on my project which brings learner corpora and digital methods together as a way to learn and teach English from early ages on. My interdisciplinary project, which is funded by DAAD, employs principles of second language acquisition, corpus linguistics, teacher training and multimodality in digital tools. I am also involved in the PROCEED (PROcess Corpus of English in EDucation) project, where I focus on L2 writing processes.
