Short curriculum vitae
After my Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Business Administration, I switched research fields to English and American Studies, specializing in TESOL and Linguistics. I also worked as a student assistant in both specializations during the program. For my MA thesis, I decided to combine linguistics and TESOL, investigating and proposing the use of language construction in teaching English as a foreign language in Saxon schools. Upon completing the MA program at the TUC, I worked as an English teacher at a school in Chemnitz. When the position as a research assistant for Jun.-Prof. Dr Schluer became vacant, I saw an opportunity to advance my academic career. Thankful for granting me this chance, I have now returned to the TESOL department, assisting Jun.-Prof. Dr Schluer and working on my PhD thesis. My passions are learning languages, deep-diving into cultures, and reading avidly.
