What is plagiarism - a definition?
According to the dictionary, the word plagiarism describes "theft of intellectual property".
In other words, plagiarism is the illegal adoption and distribution of foreign texts of any kind and form without identifying the source. This applies to all media, i.e. books, scientific and other periodicals, newspapers and all other printed matter as well as online sources.
In the case of plagiarism, there may be a violation of the author's personal rights (missing indication of source, etc.) or a violation of exploitation rights.
