Message to Editors:
Most journals and other periodic publications are based on one of several types of peer-review. Because all of scientific communication depends on high standards and because everybody should feel obliged to contribute towards these standards scientists in our group provide such reviews, basically as a free service. Of course it is expected that submissions are made available without technical difficulties in a form which can be evaluated easily. Additional files beyond the manuscript for review shall be incorporated or offered for download explicitly and obviously. It is also expected that editors refrain from sending reminders without consulting their mailboxes, and it is assumed, that inquiries pertaining to submissions are answered. Unfortunately a growing number of editors (including guest editors) fail in these aspects. Following a list of journals is provided and updated from time to time where gross deviations from this standard of communication is observed. In these cases requests for refereeing will not be honored by our group, most likely there will even be no response to the invitation:
