Wireless Communications
The chair Digital and Circuit Technology is carrying out intensive research in the field of wireless communications. We are especially analysing wireless standards like LTE, DAB+, IEEE 802.11 and LoRa as well as Next Generation Networks and IoT. In these particular fields, our primary focus is research on different Physical- and Mac-Layer algorithms. Based on Matlab- and C++ implementations we are developing advanced algorithms to maximize transmission rate and spectral efficiency. Furthermore, we are researching innovative transmission approaches as pioneers for future wireless technologies.

The research priorities at the chair of Digital- and Circuit Technology cover a wide spectrum of wireless communications systems, from Bit-Level to HF-Frontend. As for now, we are working on:
- Transmission technologies like OFDM and frequency spread transmission schemes
- Time-, frequency- and phase synchronisation algorithms
- Channel estimation, equalisation, interference compensation
- Radio propagation, channel modelling
- Multiple access techniques, resource management
- Relaying in Next Generation Networks
