Mission and Vision

Mission

The Research-Doctorate Program aims to prepare talented PhD students of the Faculty of Computer Science for the general scientific challenges within the global competition in the area of Computer Science. It offers a number of instruments for promotion of the students.

Vision

The Research-Doctorate Program has the vision to be an innovative training for excellent research in order to help PhD students, professors as well as funded Research-Doctorate Programs of the Faculty of Computer Science to establish a base for outstanding research results and PhD endeavors.

The Research-Doctorate Program of the Faculty of Computer Science is an independent program and a comprehensive plan, which is tailored to the methodical promotion and qualification of young researchers and the specific aspects of Computer Science. The implementation considers the goals of the Faculty of Computer Science and University of Technology Chemnitz. Other ambitions and initiatives, which promote young scientific researchers, are  not considered as competitors, but we try to regard, integrate, point them out and enable a partner-like relationships to archive even higher success. This applies particularly to the collaboration with the Research Academy of the University of Technology Chemnitz.
