Opening and Awards Ceremony

The Jahrestagung was held online with the exception of the opening ceremony, which took place in-person on the TU Chemnitz campus and was made available to all participants by video stream. Including the awarding of two prestigious mathematics prizes, this ceremony featured the following events:
- Opening Remarks by Prof. Friedrich Götze (President, DMV)
- Welcome Address by Prof. Gerd Strohmeier (Rector, TU Chemnitz)
- (Recorded) Welcome Message by Michael Kretschmer (Minister President of the Free State of Saxony)
- Presentation of the von Kaven Award by Dr. Frank Kiefer (DFG) to Prof. Alexandra Carpentier (Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg), Laudatio by Prof. Felix Otto (MPI-MIS Leipzig)
- Presentation of the Minkowski Medal by Prof. Götze to Prof. Moritz Kerz (Universität Regensburg), Laudatio by Prof. Jürg Kramer (HU Berlin)
- Conference Opening by Prof. Oliver Ernst (Mathematics Dept. Chair, TU Chemnitz)
