Application
A strict requirement for eligibility for the Master's program is to hold a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics. No prior knowledge in German is required to be admitted to the program. Notice however that the Master's program includes mandatory German courses (leading to level A2 at least) for successful applicants without German proficiency.
In order to apply, please upload the documents
- curriculum vitae
- Bachelor's degree certificate
- transcript of records
- copy of secondary school leaving certificate including transcripts, with translation into German or English
- proof of successfully completed university entrance examination (not for all countries, more information here)
- if available, copies of all other proofs of successfully completed university studies at the home country (duration of studies, acquired degrees), with translation into German or English
- original of APS-certificate (only for applicants from China, Vietnam or Mongolia)
at uni-assist (Please, also consult the General Information on "How to apply at University of Technology Chemnitz").
(One way to find the program "Advanced and Computational Mathematics" in the uni-assist data base is as following. Once you have registered, please log in and go to the "Search courses of study" section. In the drop down menu "University" and "Degree type", please select "Technische Universität Chemnitz (TU)" and "Master", respectively, and click "Search". Please note that the resulting list is not shown alphabetically and that the program "Advanced and Computational Mathematics" may be shown on page 3 of the list of shown programs.)
In addition to the above mentioned application documents we request
- two recommendation letters by academic teachers
which you may either include in your application documents to be uploaded at uni-assist or which may be sent (by the applicant or the referees directly) to int-mast-math@mathematik.tu-chemnitz.de mentioning the applicant's name in the subject of the email.
Deadlines for applications are: 15th of July (applications for fall term, starting October 1st), 15th of January (applications for spring term, starting April 1st)
