Brake pad compressibility test rig

Brake pad compressibility test rig

Description

The test stand is used to analyse the compressibility of brake pads in accordance with ISO 6310. The force is generated pneumatically by means of a bellows cylinder. When this is pressurised, it presses the brake pad with piston simulation plate against a load cell. The distance is measured by means of 3 measuring probes offset by 120°. The position of the measuring probes can be varied to a limited extent. An integrated heater for determining the hot compressibility is currently being realised. The test stand is controlled by a CompactRIO from National Instruments. LabVIEW serves as the user interface. Non-standardised test sequences can therefore also be implemented.
