In this tutorial we will have a closer look at the contents of the lecture “Introduction to the Study of Literature”. The tutorial offers the opportunity to discuss all the questions which may arise during the lecture as well as to apply the methodological contents of the lecture to a selected text (James Joyce, Dubliners). We will also have the time to focus on methodological aspects of your studies such as bibliography, how to hold a presentation, how to cite correctly and the like. Required reading: Joyce, James (1985 [London 1914]). Dubliners: A Selection. Ditzigen: Reclam. Online material: We discussed and analysed William Blake’s poem “The Tyger” in our last session.
