TUC visit to Sun Yat-sen University in March 2018

Prof. Schmied visited SYSU in March 2018. He gave an introductory talk to prospective exchange students, a linguistics lecture on Modality, an Academic Writing seminar in Zhuhai and in Guangzhou, and met colleagues and former exchange alumni. He discussed with Prof. DAI Fan (School for Foreign Languages) and Prof. CHANG Chengwang (School of International Studies) their visits in December 2018.

On Saturday 24, a group of international students and guests visited Kaiping, where Chinese emigrants to the US erected houses for the families in unusual styles 100 years ago.
