The Chair of Communications Engineering is primarily engaged in robust and reliable localization through algorithmic approaches and the integration of independent sensors (multisensor fusion). In particular, intelligent driver assistance systems, cooperative autonomous driving/traffic, and electromobility.

BASELABS is a software development company specializing in sensor data fusion in automated vehicles. Their focus lies in data fusion for automotive applications, especially in scenarios involving multiple sensors. With their own development software and project support, they enable data fusion results for automated driving. Their customers include leading manufacturers and suppliers, as well as engineering service providers and academic institutions worldwide.
