After Prof. Dr. Gerd Strohmeier was confirmed in office as President of Chemnitz University of Technology by an absolute majority of votes from the Extended Senate in the first round of voting on January 24, 2023, he has now received his appointment certificate.
The certificate was presented to Strohmeier on March 30, 2023, by Dr. Andreas Handschuh, State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK), at Chemnitz University of Technology.
Prof. Strohmeier will begin his second five-year term on April 1, 2023: „I would like to express my sincere thanks for the trust placed in me and look forward to continuing to shape our university together.“
