The working paper "Unpacking the neoliberal university: Insights from critical university studies" by our colleague Christian Huber has been presented at the 14th International Critical Management Studies Conference.

Our colleague, Mahsa Samsami, completed a research visit in March 2025 at University of Southern Denmark, where she spent around three months collaborating with SDU, Department of Business and Sustainability in Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, International Business, and AI.

The visit provided valuable opportunities for academic exchange, research development, and collaboration between Technische Universität Chemnitz, the Chair of Organization and International Management and University of Southern Denmark, Department of Business and Sustainability.

“My time at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark was not only an enriching experience and productive but also pivotal for my academic career. During this period, I achieved several significant milestones.” Dr. Mahsa Samsami said.

We look forward to future collaboration and joint projects and thank Prof. Christian Elmelund-Præstekær, Head of the Department of Business and Sustainability University of Southern Denmark, for their warm welcome and hospitality.

The study "The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor and Cross-National Research" by our colleague Mahsa Samsami and Kim Klyver (University of Southern Denmark and University of Adelaide) was published in chapter 12 of De Gruyter Handbook of Sociology of Innovation and Entrepreneurship edited by: Olav Sorenson (UCLA Anderson School of Management) and Patricia H. Thornton (Texas A&M University) ".

On 18 February in Bilbao, insights about women's entrepreneurship were featured. The report launch also featured an engaging panel with Aileen Ionescu-Somers, GEM Executive Director, along with our colleague Mahsa Samsami; Cristina Oyon, SPRI representative, Basque Government; Wingee Sin, Global Program Director, Cartier Women's Initiative; Amanda Elam and Iñaki Peña Legazkue, Professor at the University of Deusto and GEM Spain.

Around the world, the number of people deterred from starting a business because of fear it might fail is increasing, according to the GEM 2024/2025 Global Report titled Entrepreneurship Reality Check, released on February 18th at a special event to launch the report in Bilbao, Spain. Those who take the leap are uncertain about the expected role of artificial intelligence in their businesses. Our colleague Mahsa Samsami is one of the co-authors with Stephen Hill and Natanya Mayer of Chapter 6, entitled "Entrepreneurship and sustainability". Full Report
