Jens Hoffmann (Dipl.-Kfm.)
Jens is an external PhD student at the Chair of Human Resource Management and Leadership. His research is about human resource management and development in "knowledge-intensive firms". His focus lies on communication agencies, which belong to the so-called „Neo-Professional Service Firms“ (Neo-PSFs). He is particularly interested in how different human resource management strategies in the digital and post-COVID-19 era affect the competitive advantages of Neo-PSFs.
As Executive Director in the agency network fischerAppelt, Jens advises clients from the mobility, tourism, political and association sectors. Leading creative development and implementation processes in interdisciplinary teams is part of his daily work. His other professional stations include the agencies Philipp und Keuntje, Serviceplan, Scholz & Friends and Ogilvy.
Previously, Jens studied Business Administration at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel and at the Lund University School of Economics and Management in Sweden. He also completed a postgraduate course on „Change Management and Learning in Organizations“ at the University of Hamburg while working.
