Funding for doctoral candidates

InProTUC supports doctoral candidates of TU Chemnitz as well as international doctoral candidates in completing research visits and participating in international conferences by financing travel and subsistence expenses according to the regulations of the German Academic Exchange Service.

Conference attendance is normally defined as the active participation in conferences, congresses, seminars, workshops or symposia by contributing to it e.g. with a lecture, a presentation or a poster. A close connection of content of the conference to the one of the doctoral thesis is required.

Research visits at TU Chemnitz are open to international doctoral candidates for a period up to three month. Furthermore, research visits of doctoral candidates of TU Chemnitz at universities and research facilities abroad qualify for funding under InProTUC.

Insight visits at TU Chemnitz are eligible to international graduates who are interested in a doctoral study programme in Germany. During a four week visit the graduates get to know the German academic system and facilities in Chemnitz.
