Withdrawal from examinations / non-participation in examinations

You have the option to withdraw your registration for an examination without stating reasons, as long as you inform the Central Examination Office at least one week before the examination date. Within this deadline, you can de-register from the examination online via SBservice. Alternatively, you can use the withdrawal form, which is available under General forms.

After the deadline, withdrawal via the SB Service is no longer possible as the withdrawal is only permitted with a valid reason and appropriately proven documentation. In this case, withdrawal is only possible via the withdrawal form.
In case of illness, a medical certificate should be submitted with the withdrawal form. Until your withdrawal is approved, you are considered admitted to the examination, and in case of not attending, the attempt will be graded with 5,0.

An examination is considered “insufficient” (5,0) if you miss a binding examination date without valid reason or if you withdraw without a valid reason from an examination you have registered. The same applies if you fail to complete a written examination within the specified processing time.
