International Networks for Impedance Spectroscopy
Since its first edition in 2008, the International Workshop on Impedance Spectroscopy (IWIS) is bringing scientists from all over the world to exchange together the latest results in the field of impedance spectroscopy. IWIS contributed therefore to establish following international networks:
- Circle of Experts in Impedance Spectroscopy (CEIS) In 2013, experts of Impedance Spectroscopy have launched the CEIS aiming to serve as platform for promoting the fundamental development of the method and to serve as steering committee for IWIS by proposing every year experts for plenaries and tutorials and also by promoting joint undertakings in the field of Impedance Spectroscopy (IS) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). |
In 2017, during the ceremonies of the 10th anniversary of IWIS, the CEIS decided to build a novel network as Technical Committee within the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society. In 2019, the TC-2 has got acceptance by the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society (IM Soc) as a platform for further joints activities within the instrumentation field enabling for founding standards in the field of Impedance Spectroscopy. |
