Element of Integrated Circuits

Integrated circuits contain several components. This course gives an overview about the components, starting with MOS transistor up to complex digital and driver circuits.

Aim of the course is to repeat and extend the basic knowledge in digital circuits. In the lab you will create your own circuits, built and verify them

The course consists of seminar and practice and is held in English language.

In winter semester 2024/25 the course starts with a seminar introduction on 16.10.2024 in BBB https://webroom.hrz.tu-chemnitz.de/gl/eri-kna-fn3-0gn. Please register in OPAL.

• Basic elements
• Simple transistor based circuits
• Logic gates, memory behavior
• I/O stages, clock and power nets
• Complex logic
• circuits for IC testing

Exam

The oral exam consists of a theory and a practice part. Details will be announced in the seminar.
