Student Council of the Faculty (FSR)

The Student Council of the Faculty (FSR) represents the student body at the faculty level. Its members address all matters related to studies, examinations, and academic counseling within their respective faculties.

There are currently ten Student Councils, each representing the interests of their respective faculties. Depending on your field of study, you belong to a specific faculty, and the corresponding FSR can assist you with any study-related inquiries.

Tasks

  • Study-specific counseling
  • Counseling hours
  • Information events
  • Mediation between students and faculty
  • Conducting surveys for the evaluation and quality assurance of teaching
  • Organizing the Orientation Week (O-Week)
  • Arranging events, such as the Summer Festival of the Faculties or faculty-specific events
  • Election of representatives for university committees

Election

The members of the FSR are elected once a year directly by the students of the respective faculties. Any student of the faculty can run for election. For further information, you can contact us via email or approach the students of your current FSR.

Your participation is crucial because the FSR plays an essential role in student self-administration. Without student involvement, the FSR cannot function. Therefore, your contribution as a member or as an assisting volunteer is of great significance.

Other Student Councils

The Student Councils (FSR) are not limited to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology; there is one for each faculty. We also collaborate with them during various events, such as the Orientation Week (O-Week), the Summer Festival of the Student Councils, or the CampusLAN.
