Duration

1/2011-12/2013

Description

Goal of the project is a pilot study with regard to the NDS methodology. This is facilitated by preceding projects, in which methods, as well as a data acquisition system have been developed. Over the course of one year, 10 to 16 vehicles will be instrumented to gather naturalistic driving data and to subsequently analyse it. Purpose is the validation of the previously developed technical and methodical procedures, as well as the acquisition of a large dataset and its analysis under realistic conditions. Two data acquisition systems will be used, with one being tested as a "long term installation", whereas the second system will be used to emulate serial data acquisition in different vehicles. This is supposed to reflect different use cases of such systems, allowing for a broader assessment of their capabilities.
