Image Understanding (Winter Semester)
The most important basics in image processing and image analysis are taught. Contents of the lecture are: an verview of image understanding, basics of digital image processing, image preprocessing, image segmentation, features description of objects, object recognition, three-dimensional image interpretation, motion analysis and optical flow. Problems and challenges in the analysis of visual media (images and videos) will be addressed. In the tutorials offered, you will apply topics from the lecture in the programming language Python and learn to understand methods and algorithms from practical examples.
