Data Science Education postdoc position in the Mathematics Department at Colorado State
Project description
Dear colleagues, We’re excited to announce that the Department of Mathematics at Colorado State University will be hiring several postdoctoral fellows to start in the Fall 2023. These are contract-renewable positions for three years depending on funding. The positions are open to any area of mathematics, but our group is particularly interested in postdocs working in the area of data science education with a mathematical data science focus. The postdoc will directly work with a professor who researches mathematical data science and teaches data science courses, Emily King, as well as mathematics education faculty Hortensia Soto and Liz Arnold. The postdoc will have the opportunity to interact with further researchers in mathematical data science and mathematics education in the department. An ideal candidate will have a PhD in either mathematics with a focus on data science or in mathematics/statistics education. The breadth of the research interests of the mentors will help guide the postdoc to broaden their knowledge base to encompass data science education with a mathematical data science focus. You can view the job posting on MathJobs: https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs/list/20999.
