Laboratory as a test environment
As a registered "Industry 4.0 test environment", the EDF can be used by companies to test new products, concepts, processes and business models under real conditions. This includes the human aspects of Industry 5.0 . In particular, it offers small and medium-sized enterprises with limited R&D resources the opportunity to test and evaluate innovative approaches. This includes demonstrations, feasibility studies, training and qualification as well as application and test projects. Services include:
- Testing of software and hardware used in the context of the digital factory, data management, machine and equipment digitalization (retrofit), automated guided vehicles (AGVs), robots, mobile devices, assistance systems and qualification systems
- Energy and process analysis of systems and processes
- Capturing, processing and visualizing 2D and 3D models of goods, machines and plants (Digital Factory)
- 3D printing prototyping
- Prototyping of IoT devices and embedded systems
