Professorship Technical Thermodynamics
The professorship Applied Thermodynamics traces back to the Institute of Applied Thermodynamics and Laboratory of Machines founded by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Haeussler in 1956.
Our research deals with thermodynamic properties of fluids and basic phenomena of heat and mass transfer. We investigate fundamental and application-oriented problems in the fields of rational energy
utilisation, thermal energy storage, thermal solar technology, thermotechnical processes and appliances as well as the value chain of (liquefied) natural gas.
