Election as member of the Board of Delegates of the European Thermal Spraying Association


On 6 December 2017, Dr Thomas Grund was elected to the Board of Delegates of the European Thermal Spraying Association ETSA. The members of the ETSA represent important public and private research institutions as well as companies in the scientific and technological field of thermal spraying in Europe. The members come, for example, from Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain or the Czech Republic. With thermal spray processes, layers of all main material groups can be combined quickly and flexibly with equally variable base bodies, whereby, for example, ceramic thermal insulation layers can be produced on metallic turbine components or plastics can be directly metallised. The ETSA organises workshops and conferences on fundamental and new topics of thermal spraying and thus aims to promote and consolidate the cooperation of its members. The next workshop supported by ETSA will take place on 10 and 11 April 2018 in Pilsen/CZ.
