New textbook by the Honorary Doctor of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Lech Pawlowski


The honorary doctor of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology, Professor Dr. Dr. (E.h.) Lech Pawlowski presented his book „Industrial Chemistry of Oxides for Emerging Applications“ which he had just co-authored with Professor Philippe Blanchart, to the long-standing scientific partners, Professor Dr. Bernhard Wielage (right) and Professor Dr. Thomas Lampke (left), on the occasion of the 20th Materials Technology Colloquium. Professor Pawlowski and the IWW have been working together for more than ten years, especially in the field of ceramic protective and functional coatings. Most recently, a joint paper on the application behaviour of modified ceramic thermal barrier coatings was published in the proceedings of this year's Materials Technology Colloquium. The paper entitled „Oxidation behaviour of thermal barrier coating systems with Al interlayer under isothermal loading“ can be found, like all other papers of the colloquium, in the corresponding conference proceedings and soon also as an Open Access publication under the IOP Conference Series „Material Science and Engineering“.
