Staff member of the WOT Chair receives the University Award of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering 2019

On 7 November 2019, the TU Chemnitz awarded nine university prizes for the best final theses of the year in the individual faculties of the TU. This year, the prize was also awarded to a member of the professorship.

On 7 November 2019, the Society of Friends of Chemnitz University of Technology (Gesellschaft der Freunde der Technischen Universität Chemnitz e. V.) presented nine university prizes at a ceremony in the lecture hall building. They are each endowed with 1,000 euros. The prizes are awarded to the best final theses of all faculties and the Centre for Teacher Education. The University Prize for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was awarded to Lisa-Marie Rymer for her Master's thesis on „Crack propagation behaviour of the highly plastically deformed precipitation-hardenable aluminium alloy EN AW-6060 as a function of the ageing time“. She herself was unable to receive the prize, which was sponsored by Niles Simmons Industrieanlagen GmbH, at the ceremony, so this was made up for at the 1st IWW Colloquium on 15 November 2019 in the presence of the Prorector for Research and Young Academics, Prof. Dr Jörn Ihlemann.

The announcement is a summary of the central press release of the TU Chemnitz on the university prizes awarded in 2019. This can be found at:
