NFG HEA-SurfProtect at EUROMAT 2021
The European Congress and Exhibition on Advanced Materials and Processes (EUROMAT) was held virtually for the first time this year. From 13/09 –17/09/2021, 1,500 scientists from 46 countries met online to share their latest materials science findings. Right in the middle, the NFG HEA-SurfProtect.
Lisa-Marie Rymer represented the NFG HEA-SurfProtect with a presentation on „Tailoring the microstructure of CrFeCoNi and CrMnFeCoNi by Equal-Channel Angular Pressing to influence the crack propagation behaviour“. The topicality of research into high entropy alloys was also evident at this conference: there were 11 sessions, each with over 100 minutes of live presentation. This makes the HEA symposium one of the most important at EUROMAT 2021. In total, participants were able to view around 270 posters and listen to 1250 presentations. According to the organisers, this results in a total livestream of 654,850 hours. More information is available at the following link: https://www.euromat2021.org/ . The next EUROMAT in 2023 will be held in Germany.
