The ABS / EBS / ESP training stand with the ATE MK 60 system based on the Golf 6 from Volkswagen demonstrates the relationship between ABS, EBS and ESP control functions as well as EDS with different coefficients of friction for the individual wheels.
These coefficients of friction can be set individually for each wheel. Thus, on the front / rear axle or right / left
different values of the respective wheel to simulate e.g. Ice, snow or wet and dry roads
can be set. With this simulation, the blocking limit of each individual wheel can be influenced during braking. As a result, the wheel tending to lock is subjected to a lower braking pressure.
The wheel speed sensors provide the necessary signals for the control unit.
In the teaching, the various components of the braking system and the functionality of the assistance systems are clearly taught.
