Study abroad at the English department
At TU Chemnitz's department of English and American studies, we place great value on international exchange.
Every semester we welcome a large number of international students from universities in a wide range of countries, and we cherish the vibrant international atmosphere this creates within our department. All our regular BA students spend a semester abroad as part of their study program (the Auslandssemester). Our students can participate in an exchange within the framework of ERASMUS+ or with other international universities in more distant regions. Students may also choose to complete internship in an English-speaking country or setting instead. Students with limited mobility (e.g., due to health reasons) can apply for an alternative program (the Auslandsorientiertes Semester) with the department's board of examination (Prüfungsausschuss).
