Information concerning re-enrollment

By re-enrollment the student declares his intention to continue his studies at TU Chemnitz. Students have to re-enroll in a correct way and in due time. The payment of the semester con-tribution is considered as application for re-enrollment. In case that there are not any reasons for denial, the re-enrollment will take place at the same time.

Students have to re-enroll until the deadline indicated by the Academic Calendar. An application for re-enrollment which is not submitted in due time might cause de-enrollment until the end of the current term.

Remark for students with limited enrollment:
Independently of the deadline for re-enrollment, the proof needed for re-enrollment (Bachelor’s degree, fulfillment special study plan, admission for doctorate, entry to Germany) can be submitted at the Student Service until the end of the 1st subject-related semester (winter semester: 31.03./ summer semester: 30.09.).

Students re-enroll online by the Self-Service-Portal of TU Chemnitz (SBservice).

For payment of the semester contribution by direct debiting a SEPA direct debit mandate has to be submitted onetime. If this mandate is personally signed, received in the original by the Student Service and has been activated, the required direct debit order for payment of the semester contribution can be initiated by the student in SBservice. You are then immediately re-registered.

Alternatively, the payment of the semester contribution by bank transfer is also possible. Please be aware that it takes up to 5 business days until the payment is received by TUC and we can re-enroll you. The payment details can be found in SBservice under the register “Certificates” (pdf document “Payment details for bank transfer”).

In exceptional cases, also the re-enrollment at the Servicepoint of the Student Service by EC-Card is possible.

Withdrawal from the student body

With alteration of the Saxon University Freedom Act (SächsHSFG) from 30.09.2021 there is a revision with regard to the possibility for voluntariness of membership in the student body. According to § 114 par. 24 SächsHSFG the exit from the students’ union remains in force for students who have withdrawn their membership until 31.03.2021. It is also possible to rejoin at a later date. Please submit the declaration on rejoining of the student body to the Student Service at minimum 5 days before the deadline for re-enrollment (see Academic Calendar).

The semester contribution to be paid will then be updated in SBservice. Subsequently, you may re-enroll by using the SBservice.

Students who have withdrawn their membership after 31.03.2021, however, are going to be automatically members of the students’ union again in summer semester 2022.
