Chemnitz University of Technology Scores in CHE Ranking for Master’s Programs
Master's programs in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Psychology at Chemnitz University of Technology achieve top rankings
With its master's degree programs in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Psychology, Chemnitz University of Technology was able to score points in the latest ranking for master's degree programs by the Center for Higher Education (CHE). For example, Chemnitz University of Technology offers master's students in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology very good contact with professional practice. The subject also reached the top group due to a high number of citations of the publications of its researchers. The Mechanical Engineering master's students particularly praised the study organization. The subject of Psychology scored high among master's students for support during their studies. Mechanical Engineering also achieved a top ranking for research funding per researcher.

With its university ranking, CHE has been providing prospective students with information and transparency for around 40 subjects for more than 20 years in order to help them find the right offer. It is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German-speaking world, examining more than 300 universities and surveying over 120,000 students. In addition to facts about studying, teaching and research, the ranking includes students' assessments of the study conditions at their university. The ranking results are assigned to a top, middle and bottom group. The new comparison of master's programs in engineering and psychology incorporates the survey of nearly 10,000 master's students nationwide. Depending on the subject, up to eight different criteria were evaluated. The current CHE ranking of master's programs is available on ZEIT CAMPUS ONLINE at www.zeit.de/masterranking. On November 22, the results for the engineering subjects will also appear in print in the current issue of ZEIT Campus 1/2023. In the following issue in February 2023, the results for the subject of psychology will be presented.
