Identifying Attractive Career Paths for Women in Science
8th Interdisciplinary Symposium for Women in STEM Fields "ISINA" to be held March 30-31, 2023 in hybrid format – registration open until March 20, 2023
With the Interdisciplinary Symposium for Women in STEM Fields (ISINA), Chemnitz University of Technology has been committed to showing women career paths in research for almost ten years. This year, the 8th ISINA symposium will take place from March 30 to 31, 2023 as a hybrid event. In addition to online lectures, two workshops and the evening event will take place in person at the University Library of Chemnitz University of Technology. Registration is possible via an online form until March 20, 2023.
Behind the symposium are Karla Kebsch, Women's and Equal Opportunity Officer at Chemnitz University of Technology, and Prof. Dr. Olfa Kanoun, head of the Professorship of Measurement and Sensor Technology at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology. This year, they have again put together an exclusive program in cooperation with the STEM Women Scientists Council of Chemnitz University of Technology as well as employees of the Center for Equal Opportunities in Science and Research.
Part of the symposium will be numerous interdisciplinary papers, soft-skill workshops, the presentation of attractive employers, and an inspiring panel discussion on the topic of "Going Abroad".
This year's conference program includes workshops on "Professional Profiling for Female Scientists," "Communicating at Eye Level," and "Oral Presentation Online and Offline."
Background: Interdisciplinary Symposium for Women in STEM Fields (ISINA)
Within the framework of the ISINA format at Chemnitz University of Technology, committed women from science and business come together to talk. Thus, female students, young scientists, and women in leadership positions exchange ideas on current topics and trends from the spectrum of "career paths for women". In addition, ISINA offers the opportunity to establish professional and professional contacts.
The focus is also on the professional and interdisciplinary exchange between the scientific and technical subjects as well as the networking of women in STEM fields with the aim of establishing promising cooperations.
