More time left for learning during the examination period

Who does not desire to have more time left for learning during the examination period? The University Library is delighted to meet this wish of many users and extends its opening hours during the period from July 16 to August 12, 2023 from Monday to Sunday from 09:00 am to midnight respectively.
“However, we would like to ask our estimated users to observe that to the desks the regular service hours continue to apply, which means that they are not staffed on weekdays from 07:00 pm to midnight, on Saturdays from noon to midnight and on Sundays from 09:00 am to midnight,” Dr. Wolfgang Lambrecht, Deputy Director of the University Library, quotes. Nevertheless, in addition to the usage of the open-stack-area, the workplaces and the searching opportunities, also the borrowing of media via the self-checkout-stations at the first level as well as their return via the return machine at the ground floor is possible during the periods mentioned as well. In contrast, the collection and return of interlibrary loans as well as the payment of charges may be done also then during the service hours only, running on weekdays from 09:00 am to 07:00 pm and on Saturdays from 09:00 am to noon.
“All University Library staff members are looking forward to many more users during those extended opening hours and wish all students successful examinations,” Lambrecht said.
