Career Service Website now available in three languages
International students will find it even easier now to access information on career planning and job entry
From now on, the complete Career Service website is also available in English. International students will find it even easier now to access information on career planning and job entry. Additionally, the whole website was translated into Czech. Students from our Czech partner universities working together within the TU Chemnitz Transnational Career Service will profit from the translated webpage.
"With our trilingual website, we are happy to contribute to the international image of TU Chemnitz. We know that international students consider the service environment of a university when choosing where to study. We hope to increase our attractiveness for this target group”, so Dr. Christian Genz, Head of Project at the Career Service of TU Chemnitz.
The homepage provides information on current events and services available at the Career Service as well as an online info-centre containing articles in English relevant to career development. Every month, 35.000 people visit the Career Service homepage with 1.300 being from abroad. In addition to this, an increasing number of international students from TU Chemnitz have been using the Career Service in the last couple of months. Information sessions such as "Working in Germany” and individual career counseling sessions were among the services favoured by international students.
"With information in English it will be easier for international students to access our services and learn about perspectives for working in Germany. Also German students looking for an internship in a foreign country will find a visit to the Career Service a worthwhile experience. We have a number of European partners within our network to assist students looking for jobs or internships abroad.” continues Dr. Genz.
The Career Service homepage was translated into Czech in the context of the "Transnational Career Service” project. This makes it easier for students of the universities in Liberec, Usti nad Labem and the whole Czech Republic to access information on career opportunities with Saxon companies as well as events such as the upcoming Career Days (24. - 25.04.2013) in Chemnitz. The English and Czech websites can be reached via the respective flag symbols on the Career Service homepage.
