On the 4th September 2013 the companies of Chemnitz will run again. At 6.30 pm the eighth Firmenlauf Chemnitz will start. The slogan "Who runs slower may promote himself longer” illustrates that not just sportive performance counts but especially creativity and team spirit. The interest in participating in the Firmenlauf Chemnitz increases every year: there are already more than 2000 registrations. The event is organized by the agency "Die Sportmacher” that was founded in 2005 by former sport students of TU Chemnitz.

The running distance is 4,7 kilometres. Start and finish will be at the Brückenstraße. Apart from the official categories (most creative company, most sportive company, fastest boss, fastest secretary, fastest trainee, fastest female team , fastest male team and fastest mixed team) the TU Chemnitz rewards internally the fastest runner and the fastest team of TU Chemnitz. All students, employees, alumni, former fellows, friends and sponsors are invited to take part with their teams of colleagues, family members and friends or just themselves as well.

After TU Chemnitz managed to win the cup for the "most sportive company” four times in a row within the years 2008 to 2011, last year it was the Klinikum Chemnitz that won. This year there is the chance to win this title back.

The applications of TUC-runners are collected by the Public Relations Department. Until the 23rd August all running enthusiasts are invited to sign up from Monday to Friday 9.00-11.00 am and 1.00-3.00 pm (Straße der Nationen 62, Room 119a-119b). The registration fee is 22,61 euro per person and has to be payed cash.

Until the 4th September 2013 there is a special offer for all sports enthusiasts who can design their own TU Chemnitz sport shirt at a special price of only 19,90 euro. In addition all runners who signed up for TUC get one article (except rain jackets) of the unishop at the special offer of 75 percent of the usual price until the 4th September 2013.
