TUCculture2025

Chemnitz University of Technology supports Chemnitz as European Capital of Culture 2025 out of deep conviction. During the application for the European Capital of Culture, Chemnitz University of Technology already provided a wide range of active support. Even after the announcement of the German Capital of Culture 2025, which large parts of the university followed with great enthusiasm, the commitment of TUC members and staff continues unabated. Chemnitz University of Technology sees the Capital of Culture 2025 as having the potential, among other things, to create a stronger link between its colourful and international campus and the city's society and to position the topic of academia as a cultural asset in the regional public sphere.

Mission Statement

With its commitment, Chemnitz University of Technology is pursuing the goal of playing a significant role in shaping the European Capital of Culture 2025 and actively supporting its independently operating units in the preparation and implementation of their initiatives as well as in their networking. In doing so, it builds on the wealth of ideas and the commitment of the TUC members and staff, which find expression in the numerous projects that have already been implemented and initiated. Through the TUCculture2025 task force, it provides support in the form of advice, networking opportunities, and competitive tenders for financial resources for project implementation.
