About me
Paola D'Orazio is a junior professor of economics at Chemnitz University of Technology, with a track record that includes a role as a short-term consultant at The World Bank and extensive research experience in macroeconomics at Ruhr University Bochum. In these capacities, she has contributed significantly to the understanding of climate-related financial risks, green investments, and the role of macroprudential policies in tackling financial instability and fostering sustainable economic practices.
An active member of the academic community, Paola serves as an Associate Editor for both the Eurasian Economic Review and PLOS Sustainability and Transformation. Furthermore, Paola has co-led a special issue on the energy transition amidst geopolitical and climate risks in Frontiers in Environmental Economics.
Paola's research portfolio is marked by publications in prestigious journals such as Ecological Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Climate Policy, Ecological Indicators, Economic Modeling, and International Economics, among others. These works explore critical themes ranging from the role of finance in environmental innovation to the development and impact of climate-related financial policies across G20 countries, among others.
