International School on Smart Materials for Energy Conversion “ASMEC”
Welcome
Within the framework of the project Applied Research of Smart Materials for Energy Conversion “ASMEC” funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and running in collaboration between the Chair of Measurement and Sensor Technology (MST) at Chemnitz University of Technology and Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, Tunisia, MST is organizing an international school on applied smart materials for energy conversion.
The international school offers to the young researchers and students the opportunity to attend an online program from 25th of November to 2nd of December dedicated to the recent advances smart materials including ferroelectric and carbon nanomaterials for development of innovative and highly efficient energy harvesting and storage systems with the perspective for transfer to industrial applications and opening possibilities for a tight cooperation between university and industry. During the school, internationals experts will give technical lectures within a program including several other components such as soft skills education, virtual laboratory tours, panel discussion about smart materials an education and research valorisation of research findings during the digital Hackathon.
The hackathon will take place online from the 27th to 29th of November 2020. The hackathon aims to integrate novel technologies into real-life by connecting multidisciplinary, creative students to build realistic sustainable solutions that can transform our world for the better living.
The international school will be held blended in Chemnitz, Germany and online in Tunisia. Students can assist via a digital platform. We plan for an interesting virtual experience to make the international School an inspiring online place of exchange.
Further details about the form and platform will be communicated later, we will keep you informed about the planning.
