Licence Weightlifting

The certified DOSB C-licence training is the entry point for the acquisition of further licence levels in weightlifting. The focus of the training is on the targeted teaching of contents for children, youth and beginner training. The training enables the participant to carry out age-specific training in the development stages of basic training as well as basic and advanced training. The focus of these development stages is the learning of an optimal athletic technique of the specific competition and training exercises of weightlifting as well as an age-appropriate training design. Furthermore, a holistic training design in the areas of athletics, coordination, general strength and flexibility is taught.

The training providers of the national associations offer universities with sports science degree programmes customised training models for Bachelor's and Master's students. In these models, the existing study contents are credited for the C licence. All missing sport-specific teaching units (30 units) are taught by lecturers from the countries during the study programme in weekend seminars.

From 2019, this qualified training will also be offered to students of the Chemnitz University of Technology, Institute for Applied Movement Sciences.

During 2 weekends, 30 sport-specific teaching units will be imparted in theory and practice at the Chemnitz Institute and at the Federal Centre Chemnitz.
