Chemnitz - European Capital of Culture 2025

The 5th EurOMA CEE Research Network Workshop will take place in Chemnitz (Germany), European Capital of Culture 2025. Chemnitz is at the center of western Saxony. Several centuries history in mechanical engineering characterize the region.

The conference venue is the Erfenschlager Campus. It is located 25 minutes from Chemnitz main train station, which provides easy connections to Berlin, Leipzig or Dresden airport, and the city center with several hotels and plenty of bars, restaurants etc.
Saxon Museum of Industry
West Saxony became the top European region for the production of battery-electric cars in 2020, while the historical textile industry shifted the focus towards technical textiles and sustainable solutions in cooperation with lightweight industry.

TU Chemnitz ist the host of the 5th Euroma CEE

The Chair of Factory Planning and Intralogistics at Chemnitz University of Technology focusses on the operation of holistic production and service systems. It has strong competence in modeling and simulation, the design, implementation and operationalization of flexible, integrated production and logistics systems solutions, and data acquisition and analysis for process monitoring and system diagnostics. Co-organizing industry relevant events, and working closely with industry, the chair focusses on theory driven practice-oriented research that matters. This is also reflected in our cutting-edge research that is published in leading international journals and our teaching, which focusses on preparing students for their future challenges in practice through a strong focus on process thinking and problem-solving skills.
