Research
The Chair of Business Information Systems - Business Process and Information Management conducts research in particular in the areas of Big Data Management, Analytics, data-based innovation and business models, Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0. In addition, the research focuses on the development of digital platforms that support the collaboration of companies.
At the professorship, a Big Data and IoT lab with corresponding hardware as well as modern Big Data and Analytics tools is available. Furthermore, the professorship is involved in the education of several courses of study, especially in the Bachelor's program in Business Informatics and the Master's programs in Customer Relationship Management, Value Chain Management, and Business Intelligence & Analytics.
